Bradenton, Florida - William John 'BJ' Russell, 41, of Bradenton, FL, the world is less bright because BJ earned his wings unexpectedly on February 12, 2021. He touched so many lives he may not have even realized, and brought hope and wellness to the world.
He was born in Sarasota, FL on January 21, 1980. BJ graduated from AME, King Middle School, Manatee High and attended Barry University. He was full of energy and love, had beautiful eyes and had a smile that would light up a room. His passion was to help people and had saved many lives. He gave hope to those who felt hopeless. Every day was an adventure. He traveled the world. BJ's favorite trip was to the Galapagos Islands with his cousins and beloved Memaw. He loved fishing, being with friends and family, making people laugh, working out, children and both of his cats, Gomes #1 and #2. He had a one-of-a-kind personality that drew people in.
BJ is predeceased by his grandmother, Marjorie Kinnan; he is survived by his beloved 6-month-old daughter, Elliot Anne Russell; his best friend and wife, Heather Russell and mother, Anne Kinnan. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family.
