Bonnie Nichols Obituary

Bonnie A. Nichols, 96, formerly of 656 South Ave., Bradford, passed away Sunday (April 14, 2024) at Bradford Manor.
Born Jan. 13, 1928, in Dayton W.Va., she was a loving daughter of the late Burtis and Artrolia (Chisler) Moore.
On Oct. 6, 1947, in Clarksburg, W.Va., she married Dr. William D. "Nick" Nichols, who preceded her in death April 23, 2003.
Bonnie was a dedicated wife, homemaker and member of the Church of Christ. She had a passion for gardening, she was an amazing baker and she loved being surrounded by family and mentoring children. In earlier days, she and Nick would spend time boating at the lake and enjoying life.
Surviving are one daughter, Rebecca L. (Nichols) Skinner of Albuquerque, New Mexico; six grandchildren, Amanda Nichols of Philadelphia, Gabriella Skinner of San Francisco, Sophia Lauren Skinner Garcia of Honolulu and Mikenzee Nichols, Bradyn Nichols and Zeth Nichols, all of Rock Hill, S.C.; and one daughter-in-law, Michelle Nichols (Geoff) of Rock Hill.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, David W. Nichols, who died April 21, 2013, and William Geoffrey Nichols, who died Feb. 1, 2023; and four sisters, Cleda (Moore) Vecellio, Frankie (Moore) Stewart, Glenda (Moore) Mahaney and Martha Dell (Moore) Toothman.
Immediate family will be invited to attend a celebration of Bonnie's life this summer with the Rev. Rick Price, pastor of the Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park.
Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Alzheimer's Association www.alz.org.
Funeral arrangements are under direction of Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc.
