David Hodgson

David Hodgson, 85, of Bradford passed away Sunday (July 13, 2025) at The Pavilion at Bradford Regional Medical Center.
Born May 24, 1940, in Bradford, he was a son of the late Bernard and Margaret Myers Hodgson. He attended Limestone (N.Y.) Area School.
On March 18, 1959, he joined the U.S. Army, serving until his honorable discharge on Feb. 28, 1961.
Dave worked for the Bradford Area Water Authority.
He loved classic cars and going to car shows and was a former member of the Street Dreams Car Club. He was proudest of his 1967 Dodge Dart. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and the "cowboy" channel. He loved his dogs, going camping and traveling to Kissimmee, Fla., with his wife for the past 25 winters. He attended Sawyer Evangelical Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Diana (Larry) Combs of Limestone and Barbara (Tim) Fox of Bradford; one son, Michael (Lisa) Hodgson of Bradford; one brother, Carl (Judy) Hodgson of Lakeland, Fla.; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and his wife, Jean, of 58 years, he was preceded in death by one son, Mark Hodgson; and two great-grandchildren, Peyton M. Kirk and Angel Hardy.
Family will receive friends 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday (July 18, 2025) at Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc., 372 E. Main St., where funeral and committal services will follow with Pastor Homer Williams of Sawyer Evangelical Church officiating. Burial will be in Limestone Cemetery.
