Dennis Forquer

KANE - Dennis "Denny" Forquer, 83, of Mount Jewett, and formerly of Kushequa, passed away peacefully Thursday (Dec. 4, 2025) surrounded by love and care at Sena Kean Manor.
Born March 29, 1942, in Bradford to Lester and Florence Transue Forquer, Denny grew into a man celebrated for his patience, kindness and quiet strength.
On Dec. 23, 1961, he married the love of his life, Linda Blair Forquer, in Kushequa. Their marriage was a true and enduring partnership - marked by devotion, resilience and the kind of humor shared only by two people who have spent a lifetime loving one another.
Denny spent more than 40 years working as a supervisor at Corning and later at Bradford Electronics, and continued his steadfast work ethic in maintenance and as fire watch at ARG. He earned respect not by demanding it, but by showing up every day with reliability, humility and heart.
A lifetime member of the Masons and the Orak Grotto of Bradford, as well as the Mount Jewett Sportsman's Club and Sons of the American Legion, Denny cherished the friendships and camaraderie these groups brought into his life.
Before his health declined, Denny found joy in hunting, fishing and shooting sporting clays. He loved the simple pleasures of time outdoors - and the even simpler pleasure of a cold Genny, a trademark part of who he was. But above all, nothing meant more to him than his family. To his grandchildren, he was "Papa Denny" - a warm, loving presence who offered patient guidance, soft laughter and the kind of wisdom that stays with you long after the moment has passed.
He is survived by his wife, Linda; his daughter, Vicki Roth of Mount Jewett; his son, Bill (Tammy) Forquer of Mount Jewett; his grandson, Jason Roth; his granddaughter, Ella Forquer; his brother, Larry (Joni) Forquer of Bradford; and a nephew, Troy Forquer.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Lyle Forquer; and a nephew, Todd Forquer.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
Memorial donations may be made in Denny's honor to the Mount Jewett Sportsman's Club.
