Edna was my nursing instructor and a great resource during my first years as an LPN, her sense of humor and her insight into life were a source of learning throughout my nursing career

Thoughts and prayers to friends and family !
I first met Edna when I began my first job as an RN, at St Francis Hospital. I learned so much during those evenings, her being my (very patient)"mentor".
Years later, I would still find myself thinking "What would Edna do ?", "What did Edna say to watch for (in pt's with xx diagnosis)?", or "How did Edna handle/say to handle this ?", and of course, "You can do this, you KNOW you can do this, so go DO it... and do it RIGHT !"
I feel very lucky to have known and loved such a genuine, kind, and respected woman. May she be at peace now that her "job" here on earth is complete, having had such a wonderful and important impact on so many of us !

Mrs. Painter was a WONDERFUL nursing instructor and friend. I will so miss her smile, her sense of humor, the way she cared for each and every student she taught. Heaven definitely gained a bright star. With lovely memories and lots of love to someone who means so very much to me.
