Ken was my gynecologist for many years. He was the “best” gynecologist I had ever had! We were also good friends. He docked his boat at our marina in New Kensington, PA and we shared many fun times together. When he was leaving our area to move out by Philly, he called me personally at my home to give me the bad news about leaving. I have such fond and fun memories of Ken and continue to talk about even now! I found out that his death was attributed to colon cancer and I was shocked. My mother passed from this and he was very insistent on my getting checked regularly. I did this and I actually ended up with colon cancer. Thanks to Ken, my life was saved and I’m forever grateful to him!! God Bless you Ken, I will never forget you, my friend. ❤❤❤
A very near and dear friend has left me. Kenny was a school mate and fraternity brother of Alpha Phi Alpha at Morgan State University. We studied together, worshippped together, made ends meet together, cried together, pledged together, laughed together,

I called on Kenny as a Pharm rep when he had his practice in East Liberty; in fact encouraged him about Managed Care and the direction he should go with his practice as the insurance manage care Juggernaut was starting in the early 80's. Take care and Rest in peace

I was loooking at a Magee Women's Hospital publication and just learned of Dr. Kenny Goodrich's passing. He was one of my memorable mentors as I followed in his footsteps from the University of Pennsylvania's medical school to Magee Women's residency program. He was an intelligent, proud, dedicated and caring man. As one of his many mentees, his powerful confidence gave each mentee the strength to carry on and believe in one's dreams. His physcial presence will be missed, but his legacy will remain in the souls of all he touched.

Goodrich Family,
This comes very late, but I just learned of his passing. Dr Goodrich was the kindest MD I have known. He delivered three of my four children. It would take too many words to describe what he ment to me. He may not even remember me as a patient, its been more that 21 yrs, but he was so compassionate and caring he made me feel that I was his only patient no matter how busy he was,you were the most important person. My thoughts and prayers to you God Bless.

Dr. Goodrich was a distinguished physician and scholar in the area of medicine. He widened the pathways in the health field so that others persuing a career in medicine can have a better perspective and preparation in their chosen specialities. I remember how Dr. Goodrich used to talk about Dr. White, Dr. Turner, and Dr. Sessoms as being like a brother to him. He was an avid investor and collaborated with Bernard Jones, Jr., who is known in the Maryland area as having a multi million dollar investment business. All of these fine gentlemen spoke highly of Dr. Goodrich and sent patients to him on a regular basis. We will miss him.

Dr. Goodrich delivered both of my children, and I was devastated when he left Western Pennsylvania. My son was one of five babies he delivered the day before Thanksgiving, and he barely made it to Citizens Hospital from Pittsburgh to deliver my daughter 2 1/2 years later. I can still hear that big, booming laugh when I told him I wanted a discount for giving him two easy deliveries. Deepest sympathies to his family. He was an amazing man.

I am so shocked and saddened by the news of Dr Goodrich. I was considered a infertility patient but at 38 I got pregnant and what a surprise it was. Dr Goodrich could not of been happier! He made sure everything was right from beginning to end. I had a stressful pregnancy with personal issues at hand and he became somebody to confide in and became more than just a doctor with medical terms. He truely cared for myself and for my baby and gave us extra special care the entire pregnancy. I dont know if I had any other doctor that I would of been taken care of so well and been treated so kindly by such a caring soul. He was so professional but yet always made you smile and laugh with his jokes. I will never forget you and I am so glad I have a picture of you holding my precious Makayla so she can share the wonderful stories of you with her children. RIP DR GOODRICH I WILL NEVER FORGET YOU AND ALL THAT YOU DID FOR ME AND MAKAYLA!

Deepest sympathy to the family. Words can not describe how much your dad loved you Kenny. I remember you so well when you were little and would come and spend many hours in labor and delivery with us at Allegheny Valley Hospital. You would sit outside the door on a stool and your daddy would talk to you the entire time he was doing a delivery. He played with you for ours in the call room. Lots of quality time together . He will be remembered by all of the staff at Allegheny Valley Hospital. Lisa Cone, CNM

To the Goodrich Family,
What fond memories I have of Dr. Ken Goodrich. As a radio/TV host, Dr. Goodrich was one of my favorite guests. Always ahead of his time...he would educate, enlighten, and inform. He was a blessing! We haven't been in touch in years, but I am grateful for the time he spent in Pittsburgh and for the time this city was able to share him. I am so praying for your family at this time, and knowing that he is in the best hands ever now.
