Kenneth Rinamon Obituary
He was born April 15, 1963 in Olean, NY, a son of James A. Rinamon and Dorothy A. Haynes Shunk. On Aug. 11, 1984 in Lickingville, PA, he married Margie J. Nicewonger, who survives.
Ken was a 1981 graduate of Smethport Area High School and then went to work for Pittsburgh Corning in Port Allegany for 34 and one half years. While employed at PC, he ran his own business as a very talented wood carver for over 25 years.
Ken was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed spending time outdoors with his family and serving the Lord. He was a devoted member of the Regular Baptist Church of Smethport, where he was the AWANA Club Commander for 20 years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Kari R. (Clinton) Compton of Smethport; two sons, Karl A. (Jordan) Rinamon and Kurt D. Rinamon, both of Smethport; two grandchildren, Russell and Opal Compton, along with two others on the way; two sisters, Janet (Jerry) Russell of Smethport and Laurie (Kevin) Burford of Port Allegany; one brother, Henry W. Rinamon of Smethport; stepfather, Donald "Gene" Shunk of Smethport; and several nieces and nephews.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Homes Inc., 2 Bank St., Smethport. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the Regular Baptist Church of Smethport, with the Rev. Jack Gregg, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Moody Hollow Cemetery.
In keeping with Ken's wishes, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the Regular Baptist Church AWANA program.
