Linda Kemick Obituary
Born May 20, 1950, in Bradford, she was a daughter of the late Robert C. and Ruth E. (Nick) Rodgers Sr. She was a 1968 graduate of Bradford High School and later graduated from Clarion University with a degree in elementary education.
In 1976 she married Donald A. "Mick" Kemick Jr., who passed away May 5, 2009.
Linda was a dedicated teacher for 40 years until her retirement in 2011 from Bradford Area School District. This passion for teaching extended into her love for teaching catechism at Our Mother of Perpetual Help Catholic Church.
Linda enjoyed reading, working on crosswords, coloring pictures for her grandchildren, watching the Buffalo Bills and being with her family.
Surviving are one daughter, Deanna Sue Kemick of Bradford; two sons, Donald A. (Amanda) Kemick III of Bradford and David Michael (Tarah) Kemick of Buffalo, N.Y.; five grandchildren; Lilly Kemick, Emmalyn Kemick, Anna Kemick, Abigail Franklin and Madelyn Kemick; four sisters, Elizabeth (the late Rick) Woodward, Teresa (Bob) Costello, Jeannie (Ken) Park and Kathy (Leshia) Rodgers; three brothers, David (the late Karen) Rodgers, Michael "Mickey" Rodgers and Mark (fiancé Cindy) Rodgers; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Thomas M. Rodgers, who died Jan. 24, 2024, Robert Rodgers Jr. and Daniel L. Rodgers.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday (Jan. 31, 2024) at Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc., 33 South Ave., where funeral services will immediately follow with the Rev. Jim Gutting officiating. Burial will be in Willow Dale Cemetery.
Memorials, if desired, may be made to Bradford Area Public Library or a charity of the donor's choice.

I loved Linda with my whole heart. She was the absolute sweetest lady I ever met. I will always remember sitting in her room at 1pm on Sundays and jokingly telling the rest of the staff she was being bad and needed one on one attention so we could watch the Buffalo Bills game together.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Linda´s passing! She and I had many years teaching together, first at Lincoln School and ending at GGB, retiring together in 2011. During that time we made so many memories....I think often of all the time we spent together and what fun we had! She is a wonderful person and touched the hearts of many people throughout the years....in and out of school! She had a very big heart and willing to help anyone that needed help! She will truly be missed! RIP, Linda.
