Mark Johnson Obituary
He was born on Sept. 26, 1959 in Bradford, a son of Bob and Marilyn Merkt Johnson.
He was a 1977 graduate of Bradford Area High School.
He was employed in the oil fields with several local drilling companies and then later on he worked at the local refinery for forty years for various businesses, the last being American Refining Group. Lastly he was employed at the Seneca Allegany Resort & Casino, Salamanca, N.Y., as a valet.
Mark enjoyed hunting and spending time with his friends whether it was at hunting camp or at a NASCAR race he was also an avid fisherman. He loved spending time with his beloved golden retriever, Daisy.
In addition to his parents Bob and Marilyn Johnson of Bradford he is also survived by one son, Nick Johnson of Lewis Run; one daughter, Shannon (Eric Sisson) Johnson of Bradford; one brother, Gregg (Evelyn) Johnson of The Woodlands, Texas; two sisters, Christine (Steven) Moyer of Bradford and Kelly Frisina of Bradford; three grandchildren, Lennox Johnson, Lilly Johnson and Damian Johnson who Mark raised from the time he was five; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents and one niece, Sarah Johnson.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at the Mascho Funeral Home, Inc. with a funeral service to immediately follow at 6 p.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. James Gutting, senior associate pastor of the St. Bernard Catholic Church, officiating.
Memorial contributions in his memory can be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of the Mascho Funeral Home, Inc.
