Marlene Mack Obituary

CONCORD, N.C. - Marlene Johnson Mack, 61, of Concord, died Friday (Nov. 2, 2012) in her home.
She was born and raised in Clermont, Pa., and lived in Cyclone, Pa., and Smethport, Pa., before moving to North Carolina 12 years ago.
She was a graduate of Smethport High School. She was a loving mother and grandmother and had a great love for all children, but especially her grandchildren. Marlene was a Girl Scout leader for many years, was active in the PTO at Cyclone Elementary School and was a member of the ladies auxiliary. She also loved animals and was an avid NASCAR fan. She never forgot a birthday, holiday, wedding or graduation. She was a friend to all that knew her and she never met a stranger.
She is survived by her parents, Ken and Charlotte Johnson of Clermont; children, Amy (Jimmy) Meyers of Concord and Chad Mack of Mount Pleasant; siblings, Dave (Sally) Johnson of Smethport, Bonnie (Paul) Kiser of Manassas, Va., Gloria Lloyd of Pittsburgh, Pa., Tina (Leon) Diehl of Jim Thorpe, Pa., Dan (Shelby) Diehl of Smethport and Bob (Erin) Johnson of Hazel Hurst, Pa.; four grandchildren, Abi Allen of Mount Pleasant, S.C., Nicholas Mack of Mount Pleasant, and Carson Meyers and Samantha Meyers, both of Concord; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service for Marlene will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Hilltop Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, make a donation to the McKean County SPCA.
