Merita Greenleaf Obituary

PORT ALLEGANY - Merita L. Greenleaf, 77, of East Ransom Street passed away Sunday (Dec. 8, 2024) at UPMC Cole, Coudersport.
She was born Aug. 26, 1947, in Port Allegany, a daughter of W. Emery and Phyllis Chandler Amell.
Merita was a longtime resident of the area and a graduate of Port Allegany High School, class of 1966.
She was a member of Port Allegany Moose Lodge 460.
Surviving are two sons, David W. (Alita) Pratt of Mariette, Ga., and William L. (Judy) Pratt of Shinglehouse; a daughter, Donna Pratt of Bradenton, Fla.; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a sister, Kathy M. Amell of Eldred; two brothers, E. Gilbert and Keith "Skitter" Amell, both of Port Allegany; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
At Merita's request there will be no funeral service. Burial will be at the family's convenience.
Memorials can be made to Port Allegany Moose Lodge 460.
Funeral arrangements are under direction of Switzer Funeral Home.
