Ralph August Obituary

REYNOLDSVILLE - Ralph Thomas "Tucker" August, 77, of Reynoldsville passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, at Penn Highlands DuBois on Feb. 3, 2025.
Tucker was born May 11, 1947, in Bradford. He was a son of the late Homer and Irene August. Tucker married Sally Ann (Fuller) August and spent 50 wonderful years with her; she preceded him in death Jan. 6, 2019.
Tucker was Catholic by faith. Tucker worked as a police officer in Reynoldsville for many years. He became a patrolman in May 1972 and became Police Chief (952) in January 1987; he was chief until his retirement in 2011. Tucker was very active within his community. He was a member of Reynoldsville Fire Company, where he was the chief and president. Tucker was also a member of Reynoldsville Council, Reynoldsville Homecoming Committee and Memorial Park Committee.
He loved his little town he called home. Any time of the year you would see him out and about either plowing or mowing; always was trying to improve the town. He was very knowledgeable about the Reynoldsville community. Anything you wanted to know about the town, he was the one to ask. Tucker was a very selfless man; he was always willing to lend a hand and was loved by many. He dedicated more than 25 years to this very lucky small town. He also enjoyed spending time with his family.
Tucker owned and operated his small business, RTA August Services, which he was still very active with. He was loved by all his family and wonderful friends he has made throughout his life and will be missed by them all!
Tucker is survived by his two sons, Mark (Pamela) August of Reynoldsville and Rick (Jodi) August of Reynoldsville; one daughter, Tammy (Robert) Wagner; one brother, David (Joanie) August in Florida; and one sister, Tina August in Arizona; four granddaughters, Kayla (Jan) Przybylski, Christa August, Samatha August and Amanda August; one grandson, Derek August; and two great-grandsons, Thomas and Westen.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his brothers Steve August, D. J. August and Richard August; and a grandson, Justin August.
As Ralph has requested there will be no public visitation. All services will be held privately with the family and are under direction of Snyder - d'Argy Funeral Home, 206 E. Main St.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Reynoldsville Ambulance as requested by Tucker, at P.O. Box 247, Reynoldsville, PA 15851.

Deepest Sympathies to the August family.
Tucker impacted almost everyone in the town in a positive way. He was always open to lending a hand to anyone. The town just lost a legend.
