Randy Rankin Obituary
Born on Dec. 8, 1954, in Olean, N.Y., he was a son of the late Fred Rankin and Gloria Louk Rankin, who survives him. He was a 1973 graduate of Otto-Eldred High School.
He was employed at Dresser Clark-Rand in Olean for 47 years, retiring in 2020.
Randy was an avid fisherman, he loved talking about the "good old times", he liked to talk about history of the Oil Industry. He liked anything Mopar. In years past his nickname was Hurricane. His greatest joy was spending time with his family.
Surviving in addition to his mother Gloria of Duke Center, are two sisters, Deb Vanscoter of Bradford and Lorri Abrams of Wickenburg, Ariz.; one brother, Gary Rankin of Duke Center, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, Ronald Vanscoter and Robert Abrams.
Friends will be received on Sunday, Oct. 24, 2021, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, 33 South Ave., where funeral services will be held on Monday, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Rick Price, pastor of the Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will be in McKean Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Otto Township Volunteer Fire Department, 118 Sweitzer Drive, Duke Center PA 16729, or the Duke Center United Methodist Church.
