Cindy, Patti & Gary,
A sad day indeed, but also a happy day for your Mom. She is no longer tied to this earth and is now free to walk with all those that have gone on before. Your Mom was an incredible Aunt and was truly one of my favorites. Although I was away from the local area for many years, memories of your mother are still vivid in my mind.
Keep her memory alive and build a castle in your minds. Fill each room with memories of her and visit the castle daily. Some rooms will be filled with laughter while some will bring you tears, mingle them all together and smile on each other.
I pray that God is able to ease the emptiness and pains that you are feeling today. Let Him soothe your pains and sorrows and let Him lift you up the way he swept your Mother into His arms welcoming her home, to live in eternity, walking with her Mom and Dad, and all her brothers and sisters.
We made a donation to the Alzheimer Foundation, and I do help that one day, through research and studies a cure can be found, so no one else has to suffer with this illness.
Unfortunately, Veronique and I will not be able to make it home for her funeral but know that we will be thinking of her and praying for all in these tough times.
There is a song that I send to everyone who's lost a loved one. The words are powerful, and I believe that no one is really gone, just gone on before. And knowing that no one is really gone, one day we will all join hands again in the Promised Land, until then, smile, though your heart is breaking.

Deepest condolences to this beautiful woman's family. I truly felt honored to have gotten to know her when I worked at PCM. Gone but never forgotten Ms Rita!
