Robert Hubert Obituary

CAPE CORAL, Fla. - Robert Arthur Hubert, 77, of Cape Coral passed away unexpectedly near his residence on April 11, 2025.
He was born in Jamestown, N.Y., on July 29, 1947, to the late Fernand (Fen) and Elizabeth (Betty) Hubert. Bob graduated from Warren Area High School, Warren, Pa., in 1965. He has two daughters with his ex-wife, Lynda Bagnall, who survives.
His oldest daughter, Lisa (Dan) Schmidt, has two sons, Brett and Blake, and one daughter, Jade. They reside in Titusville, Pa. Rachel (Chris) Bereksazi has a daughter, Sophia, and resides in West Hickory, Pa. Also residing in West Hickory, is Bob's oldest grandson, Austin McFarland. Bob is survived by his wife, Carolyn Frutiger Hubert of Cape Coral, whom he married on Dec. 22, 1998, in Bradford, Pa. Bob is also survived by his stepchildren, Lisa (Tom) Bowser and their two daughters, Kylie and Brandi, of Barberton, Ohio; and Wendy (Mark) Frederick and their son, Gregory, of Bradford.
Bob was the oldest of four siblings, John (Billie Jean) Hubert of Asheville, N.Y.; and sisters Chris (Dave) Hunt of Guys Mills, Pa., and Cathy Lowe, who preceded her brother in death.
He loved his Labrador retriever, Roxy, and cat, Lucky.
He worked in sales (food industry, insurance, home improvement) all his life until retirement.
Bob proudly served his nation as a U.S. Army infantryman in the Vietnam War from Oct. 4, 1966, to Sept. 24, 1968. He was also a member of the Cape Coral Social Club, Moose Lodge 2199 and American Legion Cambridge Springs Post 381.
Bob lived a life full of adventure and heart. An avid outdoorsman, some of his greatest joys were hunting and fishing. There was always a story to be told about his younger years of being outside.
In his later years, nothing brought Bob more pride and happiness than watching his grandchildren play sports. He watched many games during his time visiting Pennsylvania and enjoyed live streams and GameChanger when he was in Florida. His presence was a steady source of love and encouragement.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home Inc., 303 N. Washington St., Titusville, Pa., where a memorial service will immediately follow with Pastor Russel Hawkins officiating.
Full military rites will be observed.
A livestream of the service can be viewed on Bob's tribute page at garrettfuneralhomeinc.com.

I was very sorry to hear that Bob has passed away. He was a great guy, and we were really good friends in high school. We shared a love for baseball, and Bob was a fantastic ball player. He told me he played organized ball into his forties. We had a chance to catch up at our 50th high school reunion, and it was really great seeing him again. Rest in peace my good friend.
