Robert McCann Obituary
Born May 19, 1964, in Bradford, he was a son of Maxine (Lerch) McCann of Bradford and the late Robert E. McCann. Bob was a 1982 graduate of Bradford Central Christian High School.
On Oct. 25, 1986, in St. Bernard Church, he married Christina "Tina" K. (Miller) McCann, who survives.
Bob worked at Tops, Sal's and Son's, and Pure Tech. He was employed for 26 years at FCI McKean for the Federal Bureau of Prisons, where he retired in 2015 as the gardener supervisor. After he retired from the prison, he worked at the University of Pittsburgh Bradford in Facilities Management.
Bob was a member of the Corydon Township Volunteer Fire Department and the Eagles Club. He loved walleye fishing as well as turkey hunting, camping, Notre Dame football and the Pittsburgh Pirates. Bob was an incredible craftsman and handyman. He took great pride in the carpentry and construction projects he completed throughout his life.
Surviving are his mother, Maxine; his wife, Tina of 37 years; two sons, Patrick J. McCann of Salamanca, N.Y., and William M. (Stacie Carey) McCann of Bradford; one daughter, Kaitlin E. (Dakotah) Giordano of Bradford; three grandchildren, Peyton McCann, Etta May McCann and Declan McCann; two sisters, Stacie Riddle of Marietta, Ga., and Susan (John) Piganelli of Bradford; one brother, Scott (Michele) McCann of Bradford; two sisters-in-law, Paula Strickler of Lima, Ohio, and Clista Hummel of Bremen, Ind.; three brothers-in-law, Rich Riddle of Acworth, Ga., Paul Miller of Leesville, La., and Peter Miller of St. Marys, W.Va.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bob; and one sister, Kristen Anne McCann.
Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. Tuesday (March 12, 2024) at St. Bernard Church with the Rev. Jim Gutting as celebrant.
Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to the Corydon Township Volunteer Fire Department.
Funeral arrangements are under direction of Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc.
