William Glendinning Obituary
Born June 21, 1953, in Olean, N.Y., he was a son of the late Johanna (Metcalf) Walsh.
Bill was a 1971 graduate of Olean High School.
On Sept. 12, 1992, at Episcopal Church of the Ascension, he married Jayne (Callahan) Glendinning, who survives.
Bill worked for Olean Wholesale, Raab Supply, B & B Electric, Hull Electric and Rexel, prior to retiring.
He loved the Buffalo Bills, Buffalo Sabres, Cleveland Indians, New York Yankees and St. Bonaventure basketball. He enjoyed rides on his motorcycle and was an accomplished self-taught musician and singer. Bill was a devoted pet lover, especially his dog, Miley, and a countless number of cats.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Jayne, of 31 years, is one son, Jonathan Glendinning of Cleveland; one sister, Debbie Ryan of Mechanicsburg; two brothers, Rick (Chanda) Glendinning of Humphrey, N.Y., and Dan Glendinning of Niagara Falls, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday (Nov. 4, 2023) at Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc., 33 South Ave., where funeral services will immediately follow with the Rev. Jay Tennies, pastor of Hill Memorial United Methodist Church, officiating.
Funeral arrangements are under direction of Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc.
Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to No Feline Left Behind, P.O. Box 783, Bradford, Pa., 16701, or a charity of the donor's choice.
