That obit photo is perfect! Cousin Bill was the BEST. I have so many happy memories of Fairview Farm and the dam. Water skiing, 4H, church, horseback riding, Sunday night warm sheets to tuck us into bed, and so many more. He was the quiet patriarch to all of our fun. My condolences to all of the Hayes family.

My uncle Bill was a fantastic fisherman all over the world, but my experience was a teacher, comedian, bad singer, great fisherman, generous, rescuer, great hunter, world traveler, and so much more! Well miss him, but he can do even more in heaven. LY, DanCin

My prayers are with Peggy and family. knew and always admired Bill. I belonged to the same Boy Scout Troop. When Biil went off to college, his mother called my mother offered his shirts that he had outgrown. All through high school I wore Bil's hand me down shirs. I liked the shirts not only because they were nice but because "Bill Hayes "
had worn them. Wonderful memories.

Bill was part of our Gaylor/Miller family and loved spending time with family at our reunions over the years. As kids, many of us spent time in St. Marys with his parents, Great Aunt Jo and Uncle "Doc". He was a great person and will be greatly missed and will live on in our memories and in our hearts.

Dear Peggy and family,
My wife, Jessica, my parents, Linda and Errol, and my three children, Geoff, Lauren, and Emily, are all saddened to learn of the loss of Bill. He was a fly fishing mentor to me and I have many fond memories of our time together on the stream and our trip to Ascention Bay in the Yucatan. Jessie even spent time with us on the streams and visiting on his trips to Erie. My children, now all grown, still remember the wonderful week the spent at your cottage on East Branch Dam. He was a special friend of mine and I will miss him dearly. Our thoughts and prayers our with you and your family.
Sincerely,
Scott and Jessica Lim

Your family has our deepest sympathy on the loss of your husband and father. Although BILL was a neighbor and a few years older I have fond memories of the short time we were together. God bless BILL and God bless America

Bill certainly was a man of God who enjoyed His creation. He lived life well and loved his family. My heart rejoices that He is in His Lord's presence. At the same time, it aches for the void in the family. Blessings.

Dear Peggy and family: My deepest sympathy on hearing of Doc's passing. I always looked forward to meeting Doc, and his brother John, and going fishing on the Salmon River every October. I have many fond memories of Doc and I pray for his admission to the Kingdom of Heaven.

Peggy and family,
You have my deepest sympathy on Bill´s passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Bill was a special person. We shared some common interests, especially our Deer Creek properties, fly tying and our Salmon River fly fishing trips, that kept us in touch. His diverse knowledge and skills in fly fishing were inspirational to me. I will always cherish the memories of our Salmon River fishing trips together. He will be missed.
Sincerely, Ken Billotte
