Dr. Copeland was a kind, funny and truly helpful teacher who made a difference in my life. I wish to send my condolences to his family.

In addition to working with Arthur on the Marlboro Music Facilities Committee where his attentiveness to detail, sharp perspective and personal involvement with Marlboro College staff accrued to Marlboro Music's credit, I had the pleasure of birthday and anniversary celebrations with Art, Lynda, and their daughters. His wit was dry, sometimes acerbic and always joyful, and his observations on the passing scene insightful. I am thankful for having called him my friend and look forward to many more visits with his family.
