Hello Gundy,
I just recently learned of Eric's passing. I worked as a waitress at the Newfane Inn about 15 years ago, my name then was Karen Corson (from Brattleboro). I have always held fond memories of my years working for Eric and you...you both have remained dear in my heart. I'll never forget, Gundy, how nice it was of you to bring donuts to my apartment when I couldn't work because I had broken my arm.
I was shocked to learn of Eric's passing. My deepest sympathy to you. Your love for eachother was so very strong.
If you would ever like to get together I would love to see you.
All my best to you,
Very sincerely, Karen

Dear Gundi,
Kin and I send to you our sincerest condolences on Eric's death. We were traveling in Asia at the time and just returned to Florida. We will miss him very much, his humor, delicious meals, discussions about politics in Germany and the USA, and automobiles. We always felt more than customers at the Old Newfane Inn, and cherished after dinner talk at the table with you and Eric. He was certainly a most bescheiden man. You must miss him terribly. We look forward to seeing you in May. Harvey Traison

Eric was one of the most wonderful men I have ever known. Hard working, talented, cheerful. I am so proud to be able to say he was a friend to my family and me for many years. His culinary skills were delicious and beautiful. The meals he prepared at the Old Newfane Inn were so woderful, and Gundi and Eric were so hospitable, that dinners at the Inn were an experience to always look forward to. It is so sad to think of a world without Eric in it. I hope the memories of many happy years together will bring some comfort to his beloved Gundi.

Dear Gundi,It's been over two weeks since Eric passed away, and we still feel it's not possible.I think it's because he was so alive and so engaged with anyone he dealt with, a larger than life figure, who can't possibly be gone.We will always remember the many incredible dinners and great conversations that a we had with you both at The Inn.Eric was truly an inspiration to us both, and we felt a special relationship with him, being in the same business,we all understood certain things that didn't need to be said out loud.We send you and Andy & Scott our sincerest condolences and Love,Thom&Gregg
