Gil was a great forester and wonderful mentor. One of my best training days when I first started with the Dept of Forests, Parks and Recreation in Springfield was with Gil. I will never forget it and try to offer new foresters the same opportunity. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

What a wonderful gentleman and what a full life he led! We've enjoyed years of stories about his adventures; they revealed a man with a big heart, a wonderful sense of humor, and a strong sense of adventure. We know he will be sorely missed. Our hearts go out to you all.
With love, Peg and Bob Soule
