Rege Anders Obituary

BRATTLEBORO -- Rege Kaye Anders, 59, died Friday, Sept. 10, 2004, at Eden Park Nursing home in Brattleboro,

He was born May 19, 1945, in Winston-Salem, N.C., the son of Herman and Gladys (Sale) Anders.

Mr. Anders attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he enjoyed traveling internationally with the Glee Club.

The longtime manager of Foisters Camera store in Chapel Hill, his passions included teaching others about cameras and photography, playing guitar, flying, sailing, and spending time at the beach.

Mr. Anders is survived by a son, Matt Anders of Miami, Fla.; two daughters, Alice Kenney of Leyden, Mass., and Kate Guerrina of Brattleboro; two sisters, Gaynell Burcham of Winston-Salem, N.C., and Hope Williams of Candler, N.C.; and two brothers, Gary Anders of Rural Hall, N.C. and Ray Anders of Charlotte, N.C.

He was predeceased by his parents and a sister, Joy Anders James of Memphis, Tenn.

Following cremation, his remains will be scattered by family and friends at his favorite beach.

There will be no formal service and no calling hours.

For those who wish, donations in Mr. Anders name can be made to Brattleboro Area Hospice, 191 Canal St., Brattleboro, VT 05301.

Arrangements are under the care of KER WESTERLUND & FLEMING FUNERAL HOME, 57 High St., Brattleboro.u
