Robert Rutnik Obituary
The Rev. Suzanne Curtis, pastor of the South Newfane Church, officiated.
After the welcome by the Rev. Curtis, a moment of silence was observed in Mr. Rutnik's memory. Scripture readings were offered by Danielle Rutnik.
Mr. Rutnik's daughter, Tracy and his son, Paul, led those in attendance in reciting Psalm 23. A poem, “Miss Me -- But Let Me Go” was offered by Nancy and Kevin DenBlaker. The message was given by the Rev. Curtis followed by words of remembrance given by Mr. Rutnik's children and many of those in attendance.
The service concluded with a poem recited by Mr. Rutnik's wife, Darlene, followed by the pastoral blessing.
A time of fellowship was shared by family and friends following the service at the home of Mr. Rutnik.
Mr. Rutnik, 63, of West Wardsboro, died Monday, May 31, 2004, at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of COVEY & ALLEN FUNERAL HOME in Wilmington.u

I´m so sorry for your loss. I knew Bob when growing up as a teen and he was such a wonderful guy. I used to fish on his property in Wardsboro Vermont in the late 1960s. I will always have fond memories of him as he was part of my life growing up.

Bob had a zest for life that was contagious. He will always have a special place in my heart and memories. Vermont will never be the same without Bob, he gave it his all, everyday of his life. We will miss his stories, his laugh and his friendship dearly. I'm sure he is already at work in Heaven making it a better place. Thanks Bob, for letting my kids swim in your pond and enabling my son to catch his first trout. I will forever be greatful for your hospitality and generousity.
