Allan (Alain) Kevin Pepin, 58, of Bristol, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March

12, 2023,Smilow Cancer Center with his love Laela Portal, by his side.

Allan was born in Bristol on October 4, 1964, to the late Fernand and Jacqueline (Drouin) Pepin. He graduated from Bristol Central High School.After graduation he worked alongsidehis father at Pepin Iron Works in Bristol, CT. After the passing of his

father, and many years of hard work and dedication, he successfully, with the help of his best friend and business partner,Kathy Pepin-Roussel grew the company and modernized it into what itis today, Pepin Steel and Iron Works. As a successful, respected and reputable International company that it is today and will continue to be in his honor.

Allan is survived by his beloved son ,Ryan Pepin, who is his pride and joy and currently a student at Johnson and Wales University,,his love Laela Portal, his lifetime confidant and best friend, Kathy Pepin-Roussel, and his longtime friend, Michelle Martin and her two children Lexy and Aaron. In addition, he is also survived by his sisters, Diane Pepin Joy and her spouse, Rafael Alamo of Bristol, sister, Lisette Pepin Lagosh, of Bristol, nieces Marnie Joy Wuand her husband, Charlie Wu Delaware, niece, Jennifer Lagosh of Portland, OR, nephew, and first childhood best-friend, Jack Joy and fianc, Patty Kelly of Harwinton, his little brother, and nephew, Timothy and Karen Lagosh and their children, Maia and Ben of Burlington, in addition to countless friends who will miss him dearly.

We cannot start rememberingAllan without mentioning his trademark HarleyShirts, his dog and faithful companion Bailey at his heels, and of recent, his Block Island baseball cap. But his love of golf, his ambition to play everycourse in the continental United States and further was a monumentalmission of his. He was also a champion pool player withmany championshipwins.

Allan was the most charismatic, loving, caring, generous, kind man with a wonderful sense of humor.He wasn't a No man! He was the,Let me get back to you on it meaning, he will make it work for you....Alwaysworking.He was the bright light in any room. Generous to his community without needing the notoriety forhis contributions and donations. But there will never be a person that cannot recall his loud joyful infectiouslaughter thatcould lighten up any room! That smile thatyou had to smile along with. - To know him was to love him.

The visiting hours will be Friday, March 17, 2023,from 4 to 8 PM at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol.

A catholic funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home on Saturday morning, March 18, 2023, at 10:30 AM. It is with disbelief that I hear of Allen's passing. My sincere condolences go out to the Pepin family. My husband Jerry McCarthy used to work for his father Ferdinand and watched and shared many memories of Allen since his was a child. My husband passed a few years ago but I know he would definitely be there with you if he were still here.
May God bless and help you all through this so difficult time. I wish you peace and a heartfelt hug to each of you and may you heal the best you can over time.....God bless. My thoughts are with you. Linda McXarthy

Alan was a grteat guy. He was one of my favorite students. He was always in a good mood and cooperative. I would be walking my dog on the Boulevard and I would hear him yell out to me as he drove by or he would stop to talk to me. He always had his dog in the truck.
