TERRYVILLE

Debra A. Schuler-Blanchette, 58, of Terryville, beloved wife of Kenneth P. Blanchette, died on Saturday (September 20, 2025) in the comfort of her own home. Debra was born on January 6, 1967, in Southington and was a daughter of Barbara (Huggins) Schuler of Torrington and the late Frederick Schuler. She was raised in Southington and graduated from Bristol Central High School Class of 1985. She then went on to study nursing at Goodwin Tech. Debra worked as a licensed practical nurse for Cook Willow Health & Rehab in Plymouth for many years. She enjoyed painting and gardening and loved decorating for the holidays. In addition to her mother and loving husband of 35 years, Debra is survived by a daughter: Elizabeth Blanchette of Winsted; a sister: Naomi Ziemak of New York; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother: Eric J. Schuler; and her sister: Sarah Barney. Relatives and friends may call at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol on Friday (September 26, 2025) between 5 and 7 p.m.. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
