Dorothy Horbal Chase Obituary
KENSINGTON
Dorothy Horbal Chase, 78, of Kensington, passed away September 22, 2025 after a short illness.
Born in New Britain, CT, she was the daughter of the late Peter Jr. and Mary (Indelak) Horbal. Dorothy was a graduate of Berlin High School and the Hartford Institute of Accounting. After working at Winslow Automatics, she found her special job working for the Town of Berlin in the tax office and the water department for over 35 years. She was also a member of the South Kensington Women's Auxiliary, the St. Paul Ladies Guild, and served as a Eucharist minister. She will be missed by everyone she met.
Dorothy is the widow of Robert Chase. Dorothy is survived by her son, Eric Chase and his wife Narissa, her cherished grandchildren, Jacquelyn, Allison, and Connor Chase, and her brother, Frank Horbal.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at 10 a.m. at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home of Berlin, 111 Chamberlain Hwy., Berlin followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. at St. Paul Church in Kensington. Burial will be in Maple Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the CT Humane Society, 701 Russell Rd, Newington, CT 06111.
