Edwin Narel Obituary

NEW BRITAIN

Edwin Narel, 95, of New Britain passed away on September 19, 2023 at Amberwoods of Farmington.

Mr. Narel was born on June 1, 1928 in Poland to Izydor and Marianna (Czerpak) Narel. He was the husband of Stanislawa Narel.

Mr. Narel lived in New Britain ever since he immigrated to the US. He started off his career as a tool maker in Atlantic machine shop in Newington and continued his career there through changing ownerships of the company until his retirement in 1994.

He was very engaged in the New Britain community. Well known, considered a good man by people he met and had a chance to get to know him. He had a great heart, fantastic sense of humor and always carried a smile.

Mr. Narel is predeceased by his wife, Stanislawa Narel. He is survived by his brother, Albert Narel; sister, Alicja Czauz; nephews Radek Narel, Ryszard Czauz, Grzegorz Czauz, Boguslaw Czauz, Stanislaw Czauz, Jacek Czauz, and Daniel Czauz.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at Sacred Heart Church, New Britain. Visitation will be held prior to the mass from 8:30am until 9:30am at New Britain Memorial Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain, CT 06053. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, New Britain.
