John Tarchini

John Tarchini, of Bristol, passed away at the age of 69 on Thursday, February 22, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Raised in Bristol, he graduated from Bristol Central High School, served in the United States Navy and started his career as a maintenance mechanic. John enjoyed gardening, working on projects in the garage, fishing, his dog M.J. and his motorcycle. He was a member of The Italian Social Club, Bristol Fish & Game and St. Matthews Church. He loved a good cigar, his hot peppers, working on his woodpile, looking for a deal and hanging out in the garage watching GritTV. John was a man of few words, honest, direct and to the point. John/Papa is survived by his wife Heide of 41 years, sister Nancy Tarchini, daughter Kristen (Tarchini) Hartenbaum and husband Jonathan, daughter Lisa Marie Tarchini, grandchildren Rocco and Ivy, and grand-doggies Stella, Hank and Roxy. He is predeceased by his parents John and Dorothy Tarchini. Words cannot express our appreciation to the Hartford Hospital ICU team for the care and compassion brought to John and his family.
