Michael Pozniak Obituary

UNIONVILLE

Michael E. Pozniak, 75, of Unionville, husband of the late Marilyn Pozniak, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, May 16, 2025. Born October 20, 1949, in New Britain, he was the son of the late Stanley and Margaret (Zink) Pozniak. Prior to retiring, he worked in Auto Parts at Dalena Auto Parts in New Britain for over 25 years. He later joined with his cousin, Vincent Savulis, in manufacturing.

Michael is survived by his brothers, John Pozniak and his wife Jane of Unionville, Steven Pozniak and his husband Brian Carter of Peacehaven, England, his niece Sarah Pozniak-Ours, her husband Christopher and their son, Rowan of Chevy Chase, MD and his nephew David Pozniak of Simsbury. He was predeceased by his stepson, Gregory Bendas.

Funeral service and burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are being handled by The Ahern Funeral Homes, Inc., www.ahernfuneralhome.com.

Dear John, Jane Steven, Brian, and family,

I am so saddened to hear of the passing of Michael and pray that you find comfort of the many memories you all shared. I remember "back in the day" cruising about in his purple Dodge Charger on the "Pike" with Poz (John) and hold those times dear in my heart. It was always a pleasure to see his friendly face, whether it was at Dalena's behind the counter or at my office. He will be missed....
