Converse - Consuelo G. Flores 86, Consuelo Garcia Flores ("Bella") is a beloved wife, mother and grandmother leaving a legacy of over three decades of service as a teacher, and community volunteer and donor.

A native of Brownsville, she lived in San Antonio, TX for most of her life, and spent her later years in Converse, TX. Fiercely devoted to her children, she found new energy in grandchildren born or brought into the family by marriage. She was generous to her 7 siblings and their children, regularly lending an ear or money when needed. Many of the thousands of school children she taught maintained contact with her as adults, a testament to her power as a teacher.

She was dedicated and supportive to her husband Lupe throughout his multiple deployments to Vietnam and after. Despite their challenges over the years, she departed the world professing her love for her spouse of 60 years, knowing she was loved and cherished in return by her "old man."

She was beautiful, elegant and feminine, and a staunch feminist. An avid reader and seeker of knowledge who loved telenovelas and corny romantic ballads. She was radiant, steadfast and true; a North Star to her family leading to warmth, happiness and home.

She is unforgettable, irreplaceable and irreplicable and will be forever missed. Consuelo is remembered by her husband, 4 children, 7 grandchildren, 5 siblings, numerous nieces and nephews and countless former students, colleagues, neighbors and friends.
