* - Flavio Hinojosa Jr. 77, went to be with God on September 13, 2021, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Flavio Hinojosa Jr., born in H. Matamoros Tamaulipas, Mexico, was the son of Mr. Flavio Hinojosa Galindo and Mrs. Gloria Gutiérrez Salinas.

He was loved by his wife, children and grandchildren, as well as by his siblings, extended family and friends. He inspired many by his strength founded in his faith in God. He was a committed and responsible provider for his family, as well as an integrous entrepreneur and business administrator. He was generous in providing help to the needy. Up to his last days his sense of humor, charisma and wit did not fail. His illness did not diminish time enjoyed with his family.

Flavio was a talented poet who captured in his book, "Florilegio Poetico," his warmth and his gift of prose. He was a composer of romantic lyrics that he enjoyed sharing with family.

He will be remembered with love by his wife, Martha P. de Hinojosa, his daughters Gabriela Moss, Isis Lael Monk, Christian Erika Howard and his sons Flavio Hinojosa III and Jorge Hinojosa, as well as his seven grandchildren, sons and daughter-in-law. He will always be loved by his brother and sisters and their respective families.

Visitation will be Thursday, September 16, 2021 from 1pm - 9pm with a prayer service at 7pm in Chapel of Peace. A Chapel Service will be Friday, September 17, 2021 at 2pm in Chapel of Peace followed by a burial at Buena Vista Burial Park. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista, 125 Mcdavitt Blvd., Brownsville, Tx., 956-541-5400, Dignity Memorial Provider.

Siento mucho lo de mi primo Flavio Hinojosa Gutierrez, hijo de mi Tio Flavio y mi Tia Gloria. Yo lo recuerdo a mi primo Flavito comprandole 2 permisos de importacion de tractores Caterpillar V8K equipados. En ese tiempo era el rey de los permisos desde Laredo hasta Matamoros, Tam. Recuerdo como que fuera hoy, risueño, muy bien vestido, con su portafolio negro lleno de permisos de importacion y sin olvidar su pistola 38 Revolver. Lindos recuerdos. Saludos a sus 2 hijos varones de parte de su Tio Lacho Hinojosa, que los quiero mucho y no se me olvida sus personalidades, que Dios los bendiga a todos. Atentamente, Horacio V.
