Maria Flores Obituary
Maria was born on December 12, 1936, in San Luis Potosi Mexico. She was a Brownsville resident and member of Christ the King Catholic Church.
Lupita as she was affectionately known enjoyed cooking, bringing the family together, playing loteria with family and friends. She also enjoyed going to Corazonzitos Adult Day Care, casinos.
She is preceded in death by her parents Francisco Rivera and Mercedes Moreno, her husband of 59 years Emigdio Flores, and her sisters Felicitas and Julia Rivera.
Left to cherish her eternal memory are her children Lucia Castillo (Reyes), Octavio, Emigdio Jr. (Maria), Leoncio (Benita), Edith Aurora, Ruben (Sofia), Mercedes Aguilar (Emilio), Jose (Aldanelli) and Antonio. Brothers Antonio and Santiago Rivera. Twenty-one grandchildren and twenty-five great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Octavio, Emigdio Jr., Leoncio, Ruben, Jose, and Antonio.
Visitation will be on Friday November 19, 2021 2pm to 9pm with a rosary at 7pm Visitation will resume November 20, 2021 at 8:15am to 12pm Funeral Mass at 12pm at Divine Mercy Catholic Church and burial at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens
