MARSHALL YOUNKMAN Obituary
Mr. Younkman was born on June 12, 1921 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
He and his family moved to the Brownsville area in 1926. He attended Brownsville schools and graduated from Brownsville High School in 1939. He received an associate degree from Brownsville Jr. College in 1942. He enlisted in the Army Air Force in 1942 and flew 232 combat missions in the S.W. Pacific. He married Belva Gunn in July 1942 and they lived together until she died in 1991. Marshall worked for the U.S. Department of Agriculture in the 60's and 70's and retired in 1978.
He was preceded in death by his mother and his sister Matte B. Younkman and Barbara Y. Jones.
Cremation services have been held under the care of Garza Memorial Funeral Home, 1025 E. Jackson St. Brownsville, TX. (956) 542-5511. [email protected]
