Wesley Raymond Anderson

Olmito - Raymond Wesley Anderson Wesley Raymond Anderson, 86, passed away March 27, 2025, in Olmito, Texas.



Born on May 31, 1938, in Grand Rapids, Minnesota, Wesley was one of 11 children born to Anselm and Hilma Anderson, both of Finnish descent. He graduated from Grand Rapids High School in 1957 and married Susan Williams in January 1960. Together, they raised four children, Connie, Greg, Glenn, and Carole. He had various jobs throughout his life and his last employment was with Blandin Paper Company, where he retired after 35 years of service. In 2009, he married Marilyn Hutchinson of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota. In 2015, they relocated to Brownsville, Texas.

Left to cherish his memories will be his wife of 15 years, Marilyn Anderson; daughters, Connie Knapp and Carole Steinert of Grand Rapids; his sister, Nancy Tinquist and brother-in-law, Carl Tinquist, of Cohasset; sisters-in-law, Mary Anderson of Grand Rapids and Joy Anderson of Apple Valley, Minnesota; along with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren that loved him.



He was a faithful member of River of Life Church in Grand Rapids and New Life Brownsville Church in Texas. He loved God, who saved him in his later years, and he was ready to meet Him.



Memorial services will be held as follows:

- April 12, 2025, at 11:00 am, at New Life Brownsville Church located at 3665 Old Highway 77, Brownsville, Texas 78520.
