Dorothy Hewett Obituary
Mrs. Hewett was born in Brunswick County, Sept. 7, 1926, and was the daughter of the late Brady R. and Ernestine Dosher Sellers. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Judy H. McHenry. She was a longtime member of Supply Baptist Church. Dorothy was a seamstress and enjoyed working in her yard.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, C.A. Hewett; son, Mark Hewett of Apex; and sister, Mary Frances Russ of Southport.
Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. Friday, June 20, at Supply Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill McNeill officiating. Burial will follow in Silent Grove Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Pallbearers will be Jody Clemmons, Leamon Clemmons, Gene Sellers, Ronald Hewett, Alan Bellamy and Perry Sellers. Honorary pallbearers will be Benny Sellers and Greg Bellamy.
The family would like to thank the staff of SECU Hospice House of Brunswick for the excellent care that Dorothy received during her time of illness. You may make memorials to Lower Cape Fear Hospice & LifeCareCenter for the SECU Hospice House of Brunswick, 1414 Physicians Drive, Wilmington, NC 28401 in Dorothy's memory.
