Carmen Santiago Obituary

Carmen L. Santiago, 79, of Port Jervis and a longtime area resident, died Oct. 8, 2012, at home.

She was born Aug. 23, 1933, in Comerio, Puerto Rico, to parents Sotero Santiago Hernandez and Gilberta Matos Padilla.

Carmen retired from Kolmar Labs in Port Jervis.

Survivors include four daughters, Maria Lopez of Toa Baja, Puerto Rico, Neyda Acosta of Port Jervis, Sandra Wright of Middletown and Mildred Marcial of Pittston, Pa.; three sons, Armando Santiago Bowie of Maryland , Froilan "Michael" Marcial Jr. of Port Jervis and Patrick Marcial of Port Jervis; a brother, Enrique Alicea of Puerto Rico; two sisters, Maria Santiago and Antonia Santiago of Massachusetts ; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three brothers.

Her funeral took place Oct. 11 at the Gray-Parker Funeral Home, 100 E. Main St., in Port Jervis. Burial was at St. Mary's Cemetery in Port Jervis.
