Joseph Fulford, Jr. Obituary
Joseph Daniel "Dan" Fulford, Jr. died Friday evening October 23, 2009 at his home after an extended illness while surrounded by his family.
Mr. Fulford was a native of Waycross and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a salesman for five years with Standard Distributor in Savannah and was the long-time owner and operator of B & B Package Shop in Blitchton.
He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Era Henderson Fulford and brother James "Jimmy" Fulford.
Survivors include his long-time companion Sue "Sam" Griner of Blitchton; two brothers Phillip Fulford of Fernandina Beach and Michael Fulford of St. Mary's; one sister Patricia Albriton of Waycross; nieces and nephews James "Skipper" Fulford, Sandra "Sandy" Altman, Joseph "Steve" Fulford, Phillip E. Fulford, Jr., David "Scotty" Fulford, Sr., Tessa Paige Carder and Mathew David Fulford; Sam's children Audrey Pinckard and Jennifer Bradley of Claxton and grandchildren Cooper, Nelson and Preston Pinckard.
Visitation was 6-9 p.m. Sunday, October 25, at the funeral home. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, October 26 in the chapel of Flanders Morrison Funeral Home with Father Bob Burns officiating. Interment will be private.
Flanders Morrison Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
