Marlow Gene Zigler, 84, passed peacefully on July 13, 2025, in Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina. Marlow was born Sept. 25, 1940, to Vernietta and Leonard Zigler in Montpelier, Ohio. The oldest of five brothers, Marlow completed his bachelor's degree in food science at the Ohio State University. During his time in college, he met his loving bride, Sandra Sutton. They were married for 62 years before she was called home on Jan. 5, 2024. After a lifelong career working for the Campbell Soup Company, Marlow retired at the age of 62. Being an avid saltwater fisherman, boat lover and many years of visiting family on the Outer Banks they decided to retire there and create their new home. Many fish were caught by Marlow and his family during their time there and many fond memories were created for his granddaughters and family as well. Marlow was a man of many accomplishments but a man of few words. His devotion to the care of his family was strong. He strived to give his family the best that he could the best he knew how. Surviving Marlow are his two children, Marc Zigler and Nicole Weisbecker (Rich); his granddaughters, Natalie and Amanda Prosser; and his brothers, Jerry Zigler (Kathy) and Robert (Marilyn Zigler). In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the America Lung Association, The Parkinson's Foundation, Alzheimer's Research and American Diabetes Association.
