James R. "Puggy" Walsh passed away Thursday, May 2, 2019, after a brave and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 52.

He was a graduate of Bishop Egan High School where he played baseball, basketball, and football. He attended Lock Haven University where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. He embraced the college experience and was a proud member of Lambda Chi Fraternity where he made many lifelong friends.

He had a career in facility operations and worked at a job he loved as a Building Operations Manager at IUPUI for the last 10 years.

Our Condolences to the Walsh families, friends and Diane. Jim I will sadly missed, a very generous friend who I had the pleasure to work for at Eli Lilly. He had taught me so much about helping others. I know when I found out that I had cancer in April and Jim was so sorry to hear about it. I tried to call Jim many times to check out how he was doing, but he never responded, through these months as his phone is still in service. Rest In Peace my friend.

Dear Jim and Carol,

It is so wonderful to read all the heartfelt and loving comments from family and friends about your precious son.
It is apparent he was not only a warm and caring person, but a dynamic and charismatic man as well. You must be so proud of him.
I pray your pain in loosing him is lessened by knowing he is now free of suffering and finally at peace.

God bless you both,
Mariann S.

Many times I have tried to think of something to write here, but couldn't seem to find the words. To my brother Jimmy and my sister-in-law Carol, to my niece Kelly and her husband Dave and their boys, to my nephew Sean and his girls and to Diane, I can only offer my deepest sympathy.
I'm thankful that I got to have dinner with Puggy when he came back to Morrisville to go to a football game a couple years ago and we had a chance to "catch up" a little.

Rest in Peace, Pug.

Rest in peace, brother. You were one of the funniest people I know and there is no greater compliment a man can be paid than to say he brought laughter and joy to others' lives. It was an honor knowing you and being able to be called your friend.

Though I hadn't seen him much in recent years, I always knew I would again. I looked forward to hearing him laugh and just talking with him. His quick wit was priceless. I'm grateful that my kids got to meet him. My heart hurts for every member of his very close family. What you all have is a gift. I'm so sorry for your loss. Love you all!

So very sad to hear the loss of Puggy. We went to Holy Trinity and rode the bus to Bishop Conwell and Bishop Egan together. He was truly the kindest, sweetest person, and such a great guy. I have many fond memories of Puggy which will remain in my heart. Mr. and Mrs. Walsh, may God Bless you and your family at this time of sorrow.
