Roth, Alice I. (nee Heidel)

Nov. 17, 1933 - Dec. 9, 2023

Age 90, of Machias, NY passed away December 9, 2023. She was born November 17, 1933 in Ashford, NY a daughter of the late Alton Heidel and Clare (Mathewson) Lindsley. She was the original builder and owner of the Cozy Corner Restaurant in Springville. She enjoyed reading, riding motorcycles, and driving her convertible. Additionally, she was a member of the Springville Women's Auxiliary, and of St. Aloysius Church in Springville. She is survived by her sons: Kevin Carter of Lackawanna, Richard (Sally Letina) Roth of West Valley, Randy Roth of Springville, and Robert (Laura) Roth of Cattaraugus; sister, Florence (late Donald) Land of Springville; son-in-law, Ron Miller of East Concord; as well as eight grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Richard Roth, who passed away February 16, 2001. She is also predeceased by by Kevin's twin, Karen Miller; her step-dad, Ted Lindsley; and sister, Shirley (late James) Manion. Friends may call on January 18, 2024 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM at the Smith-Weismantel Funeral Home, 271 E. Main St. Springville. A Memorial Mass will take place January 19, 2024 at 11AM at the St. Aloysius Church, 190 Franklin St. Springville, with Father Daniel Fawls officiating. Final interment will be held in Mt. Hope Cemetery in West Valley. Online condolences may be offered at smithweismantelfuneralhome.com
