Barbara Filipiak Obituary

Barbara M. Filipiak, of Medina, NY, passed away December 19, 2025. Born June 14, 1950 in Springville to the late Edmund and Wanda (Parysek) Filipiak. Barb was an elementary teacher for Medina Central School District for 33 years. Predeceased by parents and brothers, Michael and Joseph Filipiak. Survived by sisters, Helen (Lyle) Hochadel, Theresa Filipiak and Rosemary Harris; nephew, Kevin Frederickson; niece, Jenna Frederickson; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and many close friends in Medina. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, Jan. 10 at 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Parish, St. Mary's Church, 211 Eagle St., Medina, NY 14103. Interment in St. Mary's Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial to Holy Trinity Parish (address above). Arrangements by Cooper Funeral Home, 215 W. Center St., Medina. www.cooperfuneralhome.com.
