FALBO - Carmen J. 82, of Williamsville, was called to heaven on April 8, 2020. He was born in Niagara Falls, NY, on January 27, 1938 to Anthony and Maria (Gilotti) Falbo. He married Gloria (DiNieri) on August 19, 1961 at St. Joseph's Church in Niagara Falls, NY. Together, Carmen and Gloria have two children, Lori DeFranco and Anthony (Maria) Falbo, and three grandchildren, Daniel and Deana DeFranco and Jae Falbo. Carmen attended Trott Vocational School before serving in the U.S. Army, the U.S. Air Force and the New York State Militia. In addition, Carmen also stayed active with the New York Guard and was particularly proud of his service at ground zero right after the September 11 attack, as well as his work with the Army Corp of Junior Cadets. He retired from Occidental Chemical in 1998 after 40 years of service. During that time, he served as President of both the Employees Union and Credit Union. After retirement, Carmen became a campus shuttle bus driver and a member of the Athletics Ticket Office Team at the University at Buffalo for 20 years. In addition to his wife and children, Carmen is also survived by sisters Anna (late Joseph) Casale, Edith (William) Corbin; in-laws James and Andrea DiNieri, and Duane and Deborah DiNieri; many nieces, nephews and cousins; sisters and brother's in-law Rose (Angelo) Rizzo and Carmella (Americo) Curcione are predeceased. Carmen has donated his body to the University at Buffalo Anatomical Gift Program. There will be no prior visitation however, the family will host a Memorial Celebration at a later date. The family would also like to thank the doctors and nurses at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital. They took great care of Carmen and made it possible for his family to be with him at the end.
