Carol Schubauer Obituary

Schubauer, Carol J.

Mar 7, 1934 - Aug 9, 2024

Passed away at Mercy Hospital in Buffalo. Born in Buffalo, she was the daughter of Frank and Mildred (née Schalley) Matrone. Carol worked as a supervisor for the Dale Association in Lockport. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph P. Schubauer on June 22, 2022. Carol found joy in outdoor activities, her artistic pursuits, spending quality time with her great-grandchildren, lavishing attention on her rescue dogs, and visiting with her son Dan in the backyard, drinking coffee and laughing. Carol is survived by her children Joseph (Mary) Schubauer-Berigan, Shari, David, Daniel, and James Schubauer; eight grandchildren (Ali, Andrew, Diana, Kara, Jeremy, Jonathan, Rachel, Robert) and four great-grandchildren (August, Ava, Levi, Lexi); sister Barbara (Frank) Vosburgh and several nieces and nephews; her pets Sweety and Maddy. In lieu of flowers it was Carol's wish that donations be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in her name. Relatives and friends may call Tuesday, August 13th from 4-7 PM at Prudden And Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, August 14th at 10 AM at St. John the Baptist RC Church, 168 Chestnut St., Lockport. Visit pruddenandkandt.com.
