Cynthia Noe Obituary

Noe, Cynthia

Oct 1, 1943 - Oct 19, 2025

Age 82, of Pittsburgh, PA, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family. Known for her kindness and boundless warmth, Cynthia touched everyone she met. Born in Providence, RI, she spent most of her life in Buffalo, NY, before moving to Pittsburgh six years ago. A graduate of Beth Israel School of Nursing in Boston, she later earned her MSW from SUNY Buffalo and dedicated over 25 years to Sister's Hospital and Hospice Buffalo, where she provided care and comfort with compassion and grace. Cynthia was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Leo Noe, her parents Samuel and Minnie Pavlow, and her siblings Allan Pavlow and Rochelle Lefkowitz. She is survived by her children Jill (Adam) Brufsky of Pittsburgh, David (Amy) Weiskopf of Cincinnati, and Steven (Renee) Weiskopf of Atlanta, as well as her cherished grandchildren Eliza, Alex, and Josh Brufsky; Kate and Zachary Weiskopf; and Max and Noah Weiskopf. Cynthia lived her life to the fullest and often said she was the luckiest person in the world. She cherished her family above all else, and her greatest joy was her seven grandchildren. She shared in their adventures and accomplishments as if they were her own, eagerly following every detail of their lives. She often created fun contests with them related to sporting events, elections, or other competitions. A prolific poem-writer, she composed heartfelt verses for every occasion which were treasured keepsakes that reflected her deep love for those around her. Cynthia had a bubbly personality and befriended everyone in her midst. Whether chatting with someone in an elevator or complimenting a deli clerk, she found joy in connection. If she saw a small child or a dog, her delight was immediate and contagious. Always devoted to helping others, Cynthia carried her compassion into every chapter of her life. Even in retirement, her natural instinct to comfort and encourage those around her continued to shine. Her selflessness, warmth, enthusiasm, and generous spirit will be remembered forever.

A memorial service will be held in Pittsburgh. Donations may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Buffalo, 225 Como Park Blvd, Buffalo, NY 14227 (hospicebuffalo.com). Arrangements entrusted to Ralph Schugar Chapel, Inc. www.schugar.com

The obituary is so right. Cindy was a joy to be around and I´m glad she was a part of our family and a wonderful wife to my cousin Leo Noe. Rest in peace Cindy, I´m sure you´re meeting people who were under your wonderful care while you were a hospice nurse
