Of Hamburg, NY. Beloved husband of 58 years to Nancy (nee Errington) Oaks; loving father of Beth (Jim) Sawicki, Patty (Jeff) Johnston, Kate (Jason) Chwojdak, and Dan (Natalie) Oaks; cherished Pa of Jake (Alexis) Sawicki, Nathan Sawicki, Evan (Daniele Card) Johnston, Emily Johnston, Anna Johnston, Ryan Chwojdak, Madelyn Chwojdak, Ella Chwojdak, Gabby Oaks, and Sophia Oaks; also survived by relatives and many friends. Dave was an Operating Engineer for over 40 years with Holmes and Murphy in Orchard Park. He also loved and supported his grandchildren through all of their endeavors. Dave never missed a sporting event, concert, or musical, his grandchildren were his world. The family will be present on Thursday from 3-7PM at the (Hamburg Chapel) JOHN J. KACZOR FUNERAL HOME, INC., 5453 Southwestern Blvd (Corner of Rogers Road), where closing remarks will begin at 7PM. Flowers are gratefully declined. Please share condolences at www.kaczorfunerals.com

Dear Nancy, Beth, Jim, Patty, Jeff, Kate, Jason, Dan, Natalie and all the Grandchildren...I am so very sorry for your loss, Dave was such a great husband, father and grandfather, I know you will all miss him dearly. If there is anything I can do for any of you just ask and I'll be there.
