(nee Luksch)
April 16, 2022. Beloved wife of the late William C. "Bill" Schugardt; cherished mother of Barbara A. (Lonny) Walter; proud grandmother of Scott D. (Shannon Brown) Walter and Tamara L. Walter; dear sister of the late Elmer Lux and Katherine "Kitty" Siracuse; also survived and loved dearly by many relatives and friends. Dorothy will forever be in our hearts. Family and friends may call at THE DIETRICH FUNERAL HOME, 2480 Kensington Ave., Amherst, on Wednesday, May 11th, from 5-8 PM. A Celebration of her Life will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Eggertsville on Thursday, May 12th, at 1 PM. Please assemble at church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 4007 Main St., Eggertsville, Niagara Lutheran Health Foundation, or Roswell Park. I was so sorry to hear of your lovely mother´s passing. I got to know her at Greenfield, where she was a dearest friend to my Dad, Charles Blackwell. What a joy she was to everyone around her! My prayers are with you all as you remember the blessing she was, and hold fast to the victory she has claimed.

I first met Dorothy when she was the admissions director at NLH. She was so gracious, so welcoming and so reassuring to residents and their families. Fast forward to when she was a volunteer extraordinaire in the Health System! She ALWAYS had that gorgeous smile that accompanied her sparkling personality and warmth that endeared her to everyone!!! And everyone knows of her total devotion to the care of her beloved husband. How beautifully she answered God´s call to serve Him in so many ways her entire life. It was a privilege to know her.
