Douglas TOWNSON Obituary
Age 68, May 24, 2020 in San Diego, California. He was the former husband of Jill (nee Cook) Townson and father of Dr. Karin (Dr. Jason) Townson-Steere. Doug was a 1969 graduate of Grand Island High School where he was a standout athlete in football and basketball. He held the single season and single game rebound record for an amazing 50 years. Doug attended US Air Force Academy and Buffalo State College. He had been employed at Buxton Machine and Tool in Buffalo as a Machinist. An accomplished guitarist, he performed with many local rock groups throughout WNY. Also survived by his wife Monique Devenyns, brothers David (Debbie) and Duane Townson and sister Devin McHugh.
