Of West Seneca, NY peacefully passed away in Williamsville, NY on February 27, 2024 at the age of 102. He was born in 1922 in Buffalo, NY to Honorata (nee Szymanski) and Walter Sobieraj; Edward was preceded in death by his wife Leona S. (nee Jankowiak). Edward graduated from Buffalo Technical High School, he was a staff sergeant in the U.S.Army during WWII serving in the South Pacific as radar specialist. Edward met and married Leona of Buffalo, NY and he worked at Westinghouse Co. as an electrical technician until his retirement in 1984. As a devoted husband and father he is survived by Edwardine (Robert) Havens of West Seneca, NY and Ronald (Robin) Sobieraj of North Stonington, CT; also survived by granddaughter Lauren Sobieraj of Niantic, CT and grandsons Patrick Cunningham,III of Boston, MA, Ryan Cunningham of Manhattan, NY and numerous nieces, nephews and their children. No prior visitation. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church, 3148 Abbott Rd., Orchard Park, NY on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at 10:00 AM.
