We were very sad to hear about the passing of Evie. I remember playing scat with her and Nellie up at Angola, years ago. I'm sure that's what they're doing now. We will all miss her. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.

There are so many ways in which a person misses another. I remember well the first time death entered my life when my maternal grandfather died in 1965. It was strange and surreal and at the age of 8 difficult to comprehend. My father died in 2003 after a long illness. I loved him very much, and we had grown close after his retirement and our ability to spend time together. My mother and I admittedly never had that mother-child bond that so many of us talk about but I loved her and as she battled cancer, we formed a tighter bond against the common enemy that eventually led to her death. I want only to remember the good times, the laughs and the silliness that is a family. My cousins, the "Wagner Girls" deserve a huge THANK YOU from us, especially Judy Zimmett, Sandy Holden and Nancy Baumann, among others who helped Mom in many different ways. Towards the end, Judy was an incredible support for her and for me and for that I will always be so grateful. Thanks Jude, I love you!
I will always feel a sense of loss and a hole left behind in my soul. I was the "baby" of the family and my Dad doted on me. My Mom always counted on me to be there for her when my Dad worked so many days on the road. She supported my early education and for that I am so grateful. But for all those memories, I would say thank you most to those who are still living and who are our loving cousins friends and close relatives who have expressed their devotion and love. I want to say, from the bottom of my heart that I love you all and I want to thank you so much for all your support over the last 18 months and for every kind word, kind deed and simple pleasure you gave my Mom and me. I will hold near to my heart the little things that Judy, Sandy and Nancy did for her and for me. My husband Peter, is my rock and with him, I am happy to be alive and amongst family and friends that love and cherish those memories with me. Thank you so much. Farewell Mom and I hope you have a wonderful after-life. Say hi to Dad and give him a big hug for me. I love you.

Yvonne, Ron, Donna & Families,
I'm so sorry for the loss of your Mom and my dear cousin. I miss her so much and it is still hard to believe she is gone. We had wonderful times together; our trip to Florida, going to the casino, Broadway market, lunches, dinners and I could go on and on. She was very special to me since I was born. A couple weeks before she passed, she gave me a very special birthday gift, which I will cherish forever. She was very close to my Mom and I know they are together, along with her beloved Ross. I wasn't ready for her to leave, but she and God and other plans. 'I love you Ev and miss you so very much.
Love, Nancy (& Richard)

Do not stand by my grave and weep
I am not there, I do not sleep
I am a thousand winds that blow
I am the diamond glints of snow
I am the sunlight on ripened grain
I am the gentle autumn's rain
When you awaken in the morning hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circled flight
I am the soft stars that shine in the night
Do not stand by my grave and weep
I am not there, I do not sleep
Tioraidh an-dràsda Aunt Ev, say hi to Daddy and Sissy.
