Grandma,
You were very good at taking the time to spend one on one moments with me. I was made to feel special. That at that very moment I was the only one that mattered, even though I know now that you were spreading the wealth.
I can vividly remember your big house in Orchard Park with the Duke and Duchess protecting the domain. You making us kids the best ice-cream floats. I said to myself the first time I saw you put cola on top of my ice cream in a cup “ what is this crazy woman doing, she’s ruining my ice cream”. Oh, so good! Trusting and having faith in people is like watching your dear Grandma make you an ice cream float for the first time. Because you know she loves you, and she wouldn’t want to make you sick and throw up on her bar, you’re a little nervous of the unknown but have confidence that it must be OK – AND TRY IT! OH – SO Good! Sounds like what Jesus did for us – Have faith in Him and SO Good!
Your laugh was infectious and I can hear it now as I type these words. The time you spent with each of us was special and individualized. You made us feel like we were your special one.
Time is our most precious commodity and you gave it unselfishly. Now I know where my mother got her “Just give me five minutes” rule. Can’t wait to hear your laugh again – Love ya , Gary

Grandma, I have so many fond memories of Green Lake, cleaning your place and driving you around, while you slip me a few bucks and said, "Never do anything for free. You're worth it." You were always so funny and honest. I'll miss you!
The girls loved when you gave them a treat and they enjoyed visits with you.

Always found someone to clown around with.

Alyce touched us all in her own special way. She was so witty she always made me laugh. One time we were grocery shopping and the young clerk asked for her ID to buy beer. She looked a bit startled at first but replied “Thank you dear”. A remarkable life for a remarkable lady. We’ll miss you Grandma.

Grandma, Loved visiting you at Green Lake and going for walks down by the water. Playing by the railroad tracks, even when we weren't supposed to because "if you get too close you could lose an arm!" You always wanted to give us treats, even if it meant scrounging up a few crackers to give us. Loved your sense of humor...which sometimes got you into trouble:) We will miss you dearly and forever.

Fond memories will last forever... As a kid loved going to Grandma's house even when we had to play cards with Nana; playing with Duke and Duchess and my first puppy King; going to Green Lake to play in the park. Grandma you'll truely be missed but the memories will never fade. We love you.
